From power lines to parking lines

When five Transpower 8-meter crossarms were de-commissioned by Omexom New Zealand’s Power Services Southern unit, an Omexom staff, who is a member of the local hunting club, spoke to the club and arranged for the crossarms to gain a new lease of life.

The crossarms were cut in half, and producing ten 4-meter sections to be delivered to the club.

“On behalf of Eastern Southland Hunt, I would like to offer our greatest thanks to Omexom for the donation of your cross-arms,” said Janice Drysdale, president of the Eastern Southland Hunt.

“They have now been installed, as a safety barrier in the parking area at our hunt property.”

“It is much appreciated by the hunt committee and members alike, and as you can see, it looks very smart!  A special thanks for having them delivered to our property also.”
