CRL and Omexom welcomes first test train
The first train has had its test run through Auckland’s CRL network. Congratulations to City Rail Link Ltd for this successful achievement, and to our Omexom New Zealand team for their dedication and exceptional work.
Fantastic to be part of this project and fantastic to see this milestone achievement! Congrats to City Rail Link (CRL) and well done to our teams working tirelessly for the past four years, playing our part in this incredible project.
From signalling, traction power, earthing and bonding, to communications, MV, and LV systems – Omexom has been involved in every stage to make this day happen.
While some finishing work remains, we look forward to seeing many more test trains running through the tunnels and, in the near future, seeing the public enjoying this remarkable piece of infrastructure.
This marks a significant step toward delivering this transformational project reshaping how Aucklanders live, work, and play.
