Omexom celebrates unprecedented number of work anniversaries

It’s not uncommon to hear of employees only staying at a job for two to five years, but a large number staying for 15 years is unprecedented.  In Omexom New Zealand this year, we are celebrating the 15 year anniversaries of 70 employees, most of whom started with Omexom (then Electrix) in the Gas and Distribution Perimeters, thanks to the Vector contract awarded to Omexom at that time.

This 15-year milestone highlights a culture of loyalty and mutual commitment that is increasingly rare in today’s fast-paced job market.  At the heart of Omexom’s success is a strong, supportive culture that values its employees, as much as its technical performance.

Omexom’s Senior Leadership Team has long recognised that our most valuable asset is our people, and this recognition translates into policies and practices that promote long-term career growth.

For Omexom, having a seasoned workforce means deeper expertise, stronger client relationships, and a more cohesive team.  Long-term employees contribute to a stable and knowledgeable workplace, where new staff can learn from experienced colleagues, ensuring continuity and a smooth transfer of knowledge.  For the employees, staying with Omexom for 15 years means personal growth, job security, and a sense of belonging.
