Omexom cleaning up at Cracroft

On a cold rainy afternoon, in the spirit of Kotahitanga (solidarity) and kaitiakitanga (guardianship of land, sea and sky), a combined effort was made between Omexom New Zealand, Freyssinet and CAKE Commercial to wander through the thick muddy waters of Gas Services Perimeter’s Cracroft Bridge project site.

After 8 weeks on site restoring Vector’s IP20 Gas main and concrete pillars, our environmental hearts were pulled toward cleaning the area we worked in.

In other words, we wanted to leave the place in a better condition than we found it.

Without the correct marine PPE, we opted to work only on the riverbank and surrounding area and still managed to end up collecting a whopping 360 kilos of rubbish in less than an hour!.
