Omexom helps light up the night

Over the course of the year so far, the Omexom New Zealand Streetlight Business Unit has been involved in multiple public social events throughout the year. These were:

1)            Rose Garden

2)            Takapuna July winter lights festival

3)            Bayswater Marina

4)            Takapuna July winter lights festival

5)            Takapuna July winter lights festival

6)            Anzac Day Browns Bay – April

7)            Logo from local board – Bayswater Marina

In all the events, we sponsored our people to be on-site managing the lighting aspects, as well as vehicles, hardware and labour.  Some of the actions we performed were working at 3am to disconnect and dim all the streetlights in preparation for the dawn Anzac parade in Browns Bay.  The same was also done for the Takapuna Winter Lights Festival, with disconnection of streetlights.

In Clearwater Cove, we improved lighting for public areas by installing floodlights.  We were also involved with installing floodlights on streetlight poles to light up the Rose Garden park at night, thereby improving security.

Another project was Baywater Marina, where we worked with the local board and community police to improve safety and security.

Says a local board member, “Kia ora Omexom, your effort has had a massive impact.  Coupled with a lockable gate on the AT Park & Ride area, I’ve had no recorded incidents of anti-social behaviour.”

“Collectively, I think we’ve made a huge difference to the safety and well-being of local business owners and nearby neighbours.”
