Omexom warming hearts for winter 2024

Omexom New Zealand is excited to wrap up the Warm Hearts for Winter CSR campaign, now in its third consecutive year, with a renewed commitment to supporting communities in need during the chilly months. The initiative revolves around collecting warm clothing, sleepwear, blankets, and other essentials to provide comfort to those facing the harshness of winter.

In New Zealand, nearly 17% of children (or one-in-six children) live in poverty, with families struggling to meet basic needs. That means almost 200,000 children will face the bitter cold without adequate clothing or bedding, highlighting the pressing need for initiatives like Warm Hearts for Winter. (Statistics NZ, 2024)

Partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Pukekohe Community Action Trust ensures these needed items reach those who need them most.  The campaign operates on multiple fronts: staff contribute either through monetary donations or by providing items, fostering a sense of community engagement and solidarity.

Omexom’s parent company, VINCI Energies (Asia-Pacific), underscored its support by matching Omexom’s financial commitment, significantly doubling the campaign’s impact. Thanks to all who donated with clothes or monetarily!
